Dillo Interactive creates games and provides marketing support for a range of clients. We are a full-service marketing and creative boutique that also makes games.

We need support for our upcoming Creature collecting RPG – Creepy Horrors: My Little Blood Cult 2 that is in active development with our small team.

Role Overview

You will jump into a working codebase and own gameplay features across multiple systems. This is a true generalist position. You won’t be siloed. Depending on what needs attention week to week, you’ll work across combat, exploration, UI, audio integration, content implementation, and general gameplay programming.

You’ll work directly with the existing developers, not through layers of process.

The Game Team

  • CEO / Senior Tech Artist/ Unity Developer
  • Senior Unity Developer/ Designer
  • Senior Artist / Designer
  • Senior Audio Engineer
  • Social Media / Community Manager
  • Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

  • Implement and refine core gameplay systems (combat, progression, exploration)
  • Build and iterate on UI/UX flows
  • Integrate audio events alongside our audio engineer
  • Add and configure new game content (characters, creatures, items, environment)
  • Tune character movement and game feel
  • General gameplay programming across interconnected systems as priorities shift

Requirements

  • 4+ years in game development with at least one shipped title.
  • Strong C# and Unity fundamentals.
  • Experience reading and extending an existing production codebase
  • Solid grasp of game systems architecture: state machines, event-driven design, data-driven systems
  • 2D Unity experience: sprite systems, tilemaps, physics

Nice to Have

  • RPG, creature collector, or turn-based combat experience
  • ScriptableObject-driven architecture familiarity
  • Dialogue and quest system work
  • Git or other SCM in a small async team

Who You Are

  • Can pick up a task, ask the right clarifying questions, and ship it
  • Write clean, pragmatic code. You solve the problem in front of you rather than architecting for every hypothetical.
  • Communicate early when something is unclear or blocked
  • Comfortable in a low-bureaucracy environment where your work has direct visible impact
